first steps

Today, after sleeping in until 10 a.m. (which is amazing in itself), Lewis took his very first steps! Since he does not crawl or pull himself up, he has a long way to go to make walking less painful (it's a long fall when you don't know how to sit down!). But we are still so proud and know he'll just get better from here. Here's the video of some of these early steps:

Congratulations Lewis! Nathan and I are very impressed and proud! Now the fun begins... the world is no longer limited to where mommy and daddy will take him. You are going to have to get one of those cute leashes that look like a stuffed animal back pack thingy which are so much better than the rainbow leashes Nathan and I had. Thanks for sharing...

Aw dang, Lil' Shep is high steppin'! Look out, world! Pretty soon, he'll be walkin' over here and askin' me for candy, or something...

Way to go, Lewis! Can't wait for you to model your new behavior for Simon on Monday!

K&N: No leashes on our children!

D-Rex: His steppin' sho' ain't too high... and he don't want none-a-yo' candyz!

Cort: Sadly, we cannot guarantee anything... while his walking is in its infant stages, his stubbornness is already up there with the best of 'em.
